Last week, Finance Minister Grant Robertson has announced the Government’s Budget for 2022, including changes to some of the home ownership products: First Home Grant and First Home Loan scheme. House price caps for the First Home Grant have increased for many places throughout the country (in Auckland, has been increased to $875,000), to align with the current market. The price caps for First Home Loans were removed entirely, to provide eligible applicants with a greater choice of properties.
We are pleased to see more support from the Government to first-home buyers, to help them get into their first homes. And we would love to assist more Kiwis on their journey to home ownership.
